World Second Mythic Tindral Sageswift Kill by Echo in Amirdrassil

Echo has achieved world second Tindral Sageswift after 399 pulls, bringing them to Fyrakk and closing in on Liquid as we near the end of the Amirdrassil race to world first! Congratulations!
As
mentioned previously
, Tindral has been an epic slog of an encounter, with both guilds taking around 400 pulls to defeat and cementing it within the top 10 of highest pull count bosses. Fyrakk doesn't seem much easier though, as although it appears to be devoid of major progression blocking bugs so far, it features an intense onslaught of rapid fire mechanics with very little breathing room or room for error. Time will tell who pulls out ahead, as this race heats up!

Congratz on taking almost 24 more hours than Liquid while having to copy everything they do.
If they had global release they'd still be on Smolderon,
16 hours later even with copying liquid strats? What the hell is going on here? Outplay this tier?
Feels like they choked pretty hard on TSwift. We'll see what prog they make tomorrow on Fyrakk but honestly it feels like theyre at a significant disadvantage. This isn't explained by the reset difference eiher, Liquid just flat out played that boss better.
Actually, Echo had lost their best healer on Tuesday. Zaelia got very ill and needed a day off, meaning they had to bring a DPS player, who played on his Priest alt as Holy (which is very suboptimal), having to heal what many healers said was the hardest healing fight ever designed, while also having to learn hundreds of pulls worth of movement/experience. So they pretty much lost a full day of progress due to having to replace one of their most important players for a day. Zaelia was back on Wednesday and the kill was achieved.
Even Max said on stream in an interview that replacing a player when you are this late into the fight is a recipe for disaster and that's why he never changed comp while progressing the boss. Echo was sadly forced into that situation.
This explains them being 16-24 hours "late". They pretty much had bad luck in terms of a key player's health. Subbing a dps/tank on this fight is a breeze compared to not just a healer, but your best healer.
Ever heard of the Michael Jordan flu game? Best players play through that %^&*.

Probably bait but: As soon as they went to sleep, the HP hotfix came which allowed Liquid the kill. Also.. they slept. 8 hours sleep + the headstart from US - do the math yourself. On top their most important healer got sick and they had to reprogress with another Disc that went Holy for the first pulls to see the fight. EU almost always was crushing and always will crush US DESPITE the headstart. If it would be real head to head race, Liquid would be stomped.
You really think their whole team is just waiting to have a loock at Liquids strat? Pathetic. Ofc it will happen some time but they play PTR, write their WAs and do their own strat.
There is no "Worldfirst" and i´m sick of reading the usual headstart vs bugs vs seeing strats etc. discussions from either camp.
There only is a Region First, that´s it. Ppl calling something a Worldfirst kill while the other Regions Server wasn´t even up is.. Yeah, seems like someone who just had a stroke. Call it Region first and wait for the global release we´ll never get.
Yes, this is bait. You underestimate the effect of having video tape from the later bosses. At the beginning the headstart is a flat disadvantage. However Echo, just like Liquid got analysts and they are debunking the vods of each other and passing the useful info to the team. When Liquid has a lead the Echo analysts are taking notes and Echo can get working on their tax without having to do the experimental pulls where Liquid already uncover some hidden surprises. They still need to figure it out but they have some sort of an idea what's coming, perhaps even what's working well for Liquid so they can catch up.
I'd say the two requires an entirely different skillset. Liquid has to go into the dark, experiment and invent from scratch meanwhile Echo has to efficiently take notes and adapt very fast based on their findings. It's fascinating how good both guilds are. Btw if we flipped the headstart to EU for one tier I'm pretty sure that it would be a dumpsterfire for both guilds. Echo is not used to working things out from scratch and Liquid is not that used to adapting efficiently on the go.
