Absolute legend. His face was used as placeholder item and ability icons. The singer for ETC. Cant get much more iconic than that. Big loss for Blizzard but I hope he enjoys his retirement..
Man, in an industry like this, where you're usually seeing folks spending a couple years at most working with one company, to spend 32 years with the same company is impressive. This guy's name should be as revered as the likes of Tetsuya Nomura and Ken Sugimori. He's that important as far as video game artists go.
Even when wowhead is all about wow and diablo 4 now but i couldnt have been the only one who saw that heroes of the storm in the background and thought. Wait are they bringing it acually back?
I'm happy for him if he gets to do something better. He's been put into a cell never to speak again on Blizzard's behalf since the Corpsegrinder situation. I've had the opportunity to exchange a few messages with the guy on DeviantArt, he's so nice, it's nuts.Samwise is a kind soul who deserved way better, and I've missed no longer hearing new ETC songs ever since. Hearing him live at the WWI in Paris in 2008 singing part of "I am Murloc" in French was legendary.
Legend! Enjoy Retirement
Apparently every artist had to use his art style.
much respect
I just studied him last week. I'm saddened to see him leave the team. As he was the original artist who worked alongside the original team as well right next to Chris metzen
I love ETC! I'm so sad to see him go but I hope he enjoys a well earned retirement.
The one thing that everyone has loved just about unanimously over the years was always the art. If WoW goes down in history for anything, I think it would be the art style. Absolute legend.
Man, what a legend. Sad to see him go, but wiahing the best.
Yeah no, good riddance.https://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/1006389-Alliance-players-insulted-at-Blizzcon-(-quot-F**K-the-Alliance-quot-during-concert)Videos have been deleted from the interwebz but this is the guy who shouted F**K THE ALLIANCE! during his "performance" at Blizzcon.Buh bye.
so much respect for this man. happy retirement days for him im sure.
There goes the legendary placeholder from Warcraft III....
Probably going to see alot more of this in the near future. Always happens when Corporations acquire others. New Parent Company: "Here is a bonus, go away."
