Wishing him the best on his new game.
My guess is that their priority of remote work will make it easy to recruit quality workers.
Good for him! Curious to see what he has in mind for games.
I can't say I care much, he's been out of the Warcraft scene for a decade now and considering the LoL MMO never shipped to judge then I can't particularly get excited for him saying he's going to make a brand new MMO that at best won't see the light of day for 5+ years if ever.
Still never satisfactorily explained the Cosby Suite stuff he was involved in and I wouldn’t mind betting there’s more to come
so he retired from making an MMO... to make another MMO?and why are we still reporting on ghostcrawler, not saying he isn't relevant, but he hasn't worked in blizzard for a decade...?
Oh look, ex-blizzard dev studio number 37538
Can anyone ask Ja Rule how this is going to impact the PTR, and more importantly why news about Ghostcrawler's game studio gets pushed in Wowhead's PTR discord webhooks? 🤔
You can't make a successful mmo without huge amounts of money so I don't expect much from this. Also even though he said he quit Riot on good terms after instantly getting into another mmo it seems like they didn't listen to him as much as he wanted in Riot.
Dude has not shipped a game in 10+ years. How can he still be called a game designer/developer?
WowHead Writers; Ignore all the younglings saying they dont care about this. He was a solid dev of the game; and I am one of the people interested in what projects he may be working on (like how he was leading the Riot MMO).
Anyone who did any work on wow during it's peak is always worth keeping a watch on, especially if you enjoy WoW. hence why it would be covered by wowhead. to say otherwise would be like saying baketball fans should have stopped caring about Lebron after he moved to Miami, LA, or Cleveland.
So he basically said indirectly on one of the tweets that he wasnt truly passionate about League of Legends MMO,that he was making.
I appreciated his communications during his tenure as Lead Systems Designer for WoW. His "water cooler" blogs provided excellent insight into Blizzard's design philosophies at the time. It's just a shame he was essentially barred from communications by Blizzard after his "learn to play" blog on heroic dungeons in Cataclysm lead to endless complaining on the forums by players feeling persecuted. While I may not personally care to invest time in yet another MMO, I certainly wish him the best of luck and will probably keep up with the project peripherally.
Not off topic you just delete something that people have a different opinionno one cares he isnt apart of blizzard no longer so let him go away
https://worldofwarcraft.blizzard.com/en-us/news/2053469/wow-dungeons-are-hardDude was always straightforward, wish him the best.
